Location  Where we are The Costa Tropical is the coastal area of the district of Granada which is part of the province of Andalusia in Southern Spain. Airports The principal airports are at Malaga to the west, Almeria to the east and Granada to the north. Although Granada is the nearest airport (about 1 hr away) and is now served by both Monarch and Ryanair daily. By flying via Malaga (1.45 hrs) you can take advantage of the many cheap flights and last minute deals available to this destination Connections From the airports, good motorway or dual carriageway class roads connect into the area. The coastal road from Malaga to Castel de Ferro gives views onto some spectacular coastal scenery. Once in the area of course, road quality varies immensely. To access some of the outlying mountain villages be prepared for steep and winding tracks! Getting around There is a good (and very cheap) bus service connecting the area to the airport towns, or we can arrange to pick you up, but if you want to really explore the area while here it is advisable to hire a rental car.
